Privacy and safety
What other people can see
- Country counts are public: how many members are in each country.
- Newest members appear in the footer with a first name and an initial, for example "Khalid S.".
- Moderators can see which members are online.
- Your professional profile is visible to signed-in members by default. You can make it public (and findable on Google) or hide it completely.
You can hide your name from the public lists in your privacy settings.
What nobody else sees
Your email address and your password are never shown to anyone. Your pets' health records are yours alone.
Chat is not open to strangers
Nobody can start a chat with you out of the blue. A chat opens only after you have agreed to something: accepting a connection request, a blood request or a donation.
Reporting
Profiles, reviews and posts can be reported. Moderators look at every report.
Security log
To keep the site safe we keep a security log of actions on your account - for example signing in, posting, or sending a message - with the time, IP address and device. What you write is never copied into it. Only the site owner can see it, and each line is deleted after 180 days.
Interests and privacy settings
Tap your photo at the top, then Interests & privacy (or go to xpertcreation.com/me/preferences).
- Your interests: pick up to 12. They show as chips at the top of XpertConnect, each opening posts with that hashtag.
- Gender (optional): never shown on your profile. It is only used for the "same gender" choices and for women-only or men-only groups.
- Who can find me in search: Everyone, Same gender only, or My connections only. This covers people search and @ suggestions.
- Who can send me connection requests: Everyone, Same gender only, or Nobody. Private messages always need a connection first.
When you create a group you can make it women only or men only; only members with that gender (set in these settings) can join or be added.
